From the founder
Quintin de Jongh

As I got more obsessed with running statistics and performance, I noticed that South Africa lacks the tier-1 running performance apparel seen in Europe and America. We're so engulfed in the carbon-plated shoe market that we forgot about everything else that we wear and how it affects our running performance. We at Aerias wanted a racing singlet that felt like nothing, fit like a second skin, and looked good enough to wear to the coffee shop afterwards. With my experience in materials science, mechanical engineering and performance running, I decided to engineer that technology right here in Cape Town, and share it with the community.
We approach apparel like we do engineering. That means every seam, every bonded hem, and every fabric choice is calculated. We don't just sew fabric; we analyze wicking structures, stress-test bonded seams, and obsess over gram-weight and elastic recovery.
But speed is nothing without soul. Aerias is deeply rooted in the Cape Town running culture; a community that grinds through the South Easter wind and celebrates on the mountain. We are serious about our splits, but unserious about everything else.

Founded in Cape Town — home of the Marathon, Two Oceans, and Comrades. Designed for our terrain, our weather, and the runners who race here.
Started inside the SA running community and stays close to it. We design with athletes and test with clubs — not in marketing departments.
Every gram matters over 42 km. We obsess over fabric weight, airflow, and seam construction — and we publish the numbers.
